Lieutenant Colonel Simms was a pilot in H.A.W.X. squadron in the near future. After the squadron was decimated in the attack on Prince Faisal Air Base, he coordinated the operation to rescue Colonel David Crenshaw.
He then joined his wingmen Majors Alex Hunter and Rebecca Walters in stopping insurgent attacks.
Later they rescued defecting pilot Dmitri Ivanovich Sokov and stopped a nuclear attack in Cape Town, South Africa. They then flew to Moscow to capture Ultranationalist Aleksandr Treskayev.
Simms was killed while stopping rogue General Vasily Morgunov after his plane was destroyed by the hacked laser satellite.
