Operation: Ghost Rider was an operation in 2014 in which David Crenshaw and the H.A.W.X. squadron were assigned by the Pentagon to push off Mexican rebel forces who had violated the United States border near El Paso.

Description

Mexican rebel forces north of Ciudad Juarez have repeatedly violated the US border near El Paso over the last 72 hours. The Pentagon has authorized covert airstrikes to disrupt rebel operations.

Briefing

AWACS: H.A.W.X flight, this is Citadel. I'll be your flight controller for this mission. I have you on my scope at the Mexican border, bearing zero-niner-zero, at thirty miles. By order of the Pentagon, you are now authorized to enter Mexican airspace to locate and destroy rebel ground units that have been probing the US border.Your patrol will follow a series of waypoints marked on your TacMap, at each waypoint you will engage and destroy every rebel units in the area.

Outcome

David Crenshaw suppressed the Mexican rebel forces under guidance from AWACS Citadel, and saved a Ghost Recon team from heavy rebel attack which evacuated on the helicopter (Black Hawk 5). Soon after, he and his squadron were invited into Artemis Global Security by its CEO Adrian DeWinter as the United States Air Force closed down the H.A.W.X. Squadron.
